Having written my first book in English and reread it several times, I couldn’t think how to rewrite it better. But after having it translated into French and edited it with the help of a French friend, going through it word by word and having to restructure some of the sentences, I realized that my criticism of it was that it was mostly factual and not descriptive enough. French is a more descriptive language and needs more explanation than in English as the French language has a lot less words than English.
